Georgia: Law enforcement hunting 2 missing Savannah sex offenders (please share
let's help them out!)

The Chatham County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating two missing sex offenders.

Christopher Aaron Walter, 30, was under monitoring by the Georgia Department of Correction Probation Division. He was convicted in 2002 in Georgia for enticing a child for indecent purposes and has been labeled a sexual predator by the state.

Michelle Gavin, sheriff’s office spokeswoman, said Walter disabled his electronic ankle monitor on Nov. 13 and his probation officer took out a warrant for his arrest on Nov. 14.

Probation officers notified the U.S. Marshal Service Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force and the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office Sex Offender Registration and Tracking Unit. All three agencies have now exhausted all leads.

Walter is a homeless man who registered as a sex offender with the sheriff’s office on Sept. 12 and indicated he was living under the Talmadge Bridge near the Oglethorpe bus station. Walter has no known family members in the Savannah area.

Kyle Lamont Gadson, 41, was convicted of rape in 1992. Gadson was last seen at the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office on July 23 when he came to the SORT Unit for his annual sex offender registration. SORT investigators went to verify his home address on Oct. 4 and Gadson’s father said he did not live there.

The sheriff’s office issued a Recorder’s Court warrant on Oct. 15 and has exhausted all leads in trying to locate Gadson, Gavin said. The U.S. Marshals have also been assisting in this search.

If you have any information about the whereabouts of Walter or Gadson contact the sheriff’s office SORT unit at 912-656-5715 or contact CrimeStoppers at 912-234-2020 or call 911.
