Missing 10-Month-Old Found Dead, Person of Interest in Custody

Police say 10-mo
nth-old Saanvi Venna was found dead overnight.

Police have a person of interest in custody after discovering the body of a baby that was abducted from an Upper Merion apartment Monday, according to sources.

Sources say that 10-month-old Saanvi Venna was found dead in the family's apartment complex, the Marquis Apartments, on the 200 block of West Dekalb Pike.

They also confirm that police do have a person of interest in custody.

Investigators say a suspect who was looking for a $50,000 ransom murdered a baby girl and her grandmother in Montgomery County.

The suspect is facing several charges including murder, kidnapping, robbery and other related offenses.

Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Ferman said the suspect even helped in the search for 10-month-old Saanvi Venna.

Saani was abducted Monday from the family's home in the Marquis while in the care of her grandmother Satyavathi Venna, 61.

The elder Venna was found murdered inside the apartment.

The discovery of baby Saanvi's body comes the day after the reward for information leading to her safe return was increased to $50,000.

Police have not released the identity of the person of interest.
