Thank you so much for posting this! Joe was my classmate in HS back in 1987 when he went missing. He was the kindest, sweetest guy. He was the one who made everyone laugh.
ReplyDeleteJoe went to a party that night and later left with three individuals and he was never seen again.
The 3 claim that their car got stuck and that Joe left to walk the 5+ miles in mid January without a winter coat at 3am....when 2 of the 3 lived 2 miles away! Rescue workers found NO tire tracks of footprints at the location where they claim the car got stuck. One of the 3 later admitted to someone that the story of the car getting stuck was just a cover story to hide the truth. This same person continually harasses Joe's family online. And we found inconsistencies in the story via quotations from one of the others in news accounts. He claimed that one of the others called him to say that Joe was missing a FULL TWO HOURS BEFORE Joe was known to be missing.
It looks like there is a break in this cold case.
