Thanksgiving morning, Klatt sent a notic
e that Desiray and the man she was believed to be with, Evan Peterson, were found.
"She is safe and sound and he is in jail," Klatt's notice said. No other details were provided. Klatt earlier told reporters Peterson had warrants out for his arrest.
Deputies had been searching for Desiray as an "endangered teen." Thibodeaux, 16, attended a church Halloween event in the Oak Grove, Arkansas area just two days prior with Pearson, 24. Authorities say she left that event in a 1994 Chevrolet pickup 1500 extended cab that was brown and tan in color.
Detective Klatt says the two were reportedly spotted in Kellyville, Ok., Elk City, Ok., Cushing, Ok., and Shell Knob, Mo.
Police say Dsiray may have initially gone with Evan willingly. However, during the course of the investigation, "information has been provided that indicate that she may be in danger."
