The family of a missing Caldwell County woman is asking for the public's help in their search.
Carol Thompson was last seen at 2 a.m. last Friday at a home in Lathrop, MO. She is 50 years old and suffers from heart problems and mental illness. Her family said she did not take her cell phone or purse with her.
Family and friends have put up fliers around town. Her sister said Thompson had recently been ill and was too weak to walk very far. She fears a passer-by may have given her a ride.
"That's one of my biggest concerns. I'm hoping she's in a hospital somewhere and maybe disoriented and doesn't know who she is," Judy Courtney said.
A search organized by family and volunteers continued Saturday, a week after Thompson's disappearance. Volunteers are searching property along Highways 116 and 69 in Caldwell County.
Anyone with information about this missing woman is asked to call the Caldwell County Sheriff's Office at 816-586-2681.
Please keep your comments to prayers & support only.

Police say Saavni Venna, a 10-month-old baby, was abducted from the Marquis Apartment complex on the 200 block of West Dekalb Pike in King of Prussia some time between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Monday.
Investigators issued an amber alert just before 5 p.m. after they say a relative arrived at the apartment earlier in the afternoon and found the dead body of the baby's grandmother, 61-year-old Satyavathi Venna, and then realized the child was missing. Friends of the family tell NBC10 it was the baby's father, Shiva Venna, who called police.
Police described Venna as an Asian-Indian female, standing 2-foot-6 and weighing 21 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a white dress with pink flowers and wearing unknown jewelry.
"Please don't do any harm to the kid," said Vasu Velaga, a neighbor of the family. "Please release her immediately. Please inform the police."
Shiva Venna spoke Monday night during a press conference.
"If someone finds my baby could you please bring my baby back?" Venna pleaded. "Don't do any harm to my baby."
