Family searches for missing Fort Lauderdale mother of two.
Trukita Scott’s family first realized something was wrong when the mother of two didn’t pick up her 3-year-old and 1-year-old children from daycare

Now, more than three weeks later, Scott is still missing. Her car was discovered, empty, under a bridge near Moore Park on Northwest 36th Street, and the last phone call she made — before her phone was turned off — was to Carl Watts, a former boyfriend and the father of her 1-year-old son, according to her family. Scott disappeared and there are no leads on where she is.

Scott, who lives in Fort Lauderdale, is 24 y/o five-six and weighs 138 pounds. She was last seen wearing a khaki U-Haul shirt — where she worked at the time of her disappearance — black shorts and black Reebok shoes. She hoped to become a police officer and was saving money to attend the police academy. “Her kids are never without her except when they’re at school,” said Arthur Scott, her brother. “She’s never done this before — gone missing out of the blue.”

Scott said that before his sister’s disappearance, Watts had threatened and followed her. Her family believes Scott went to visit Watts before she went missing.

“Trukita’s a loving caring mother who would never leave her children. Whenever you saw her she was always smiling; she was always quick to help people no matter what,” Arthur Scott said. “She was very forgiving, which is probably the reason she went to go see him.”

Scott’s family spent Sunday passing out fliers, hoping that someone has information about her. Arthur Scott said that Trukita’s children don’t know what’s going on — the family has been telling them that she’s at work — but they miss their mother.
