      1. Hi Judy, I’m sending this to your inbox rather than post it because there are things that I don’t want the public to know in the event that Bethanys case ever goes to court, so please keep this to your self. First of all, no one came to our home, this is not where Bethanys murder took place. Fruth was first on the scene, there for he was over the case. My husband got there soon after. Fruth had already came to the conclusion that Bethany had done this because he had talked to the people that was there, who are all family to one another, including her boyfriend, ( he is the one that refused to take a lie detector test ). My husband told Fruth that he knew she didn’t do this and that was when Starcher was called . I don’t know what he was told by Fruth. I do know that Starcher had told my husband that Bethanys feet was only a few inches off the ground. My sister looked at the crime scene pictures and said that it looked to her as if Bethany was standing there with her feet on the ground ( I have a copy of the police report and it states that her feet were on the ground ) I don’t understand how you can hang with your feet on the ground unless some one was holding her legs up, also, her fingers on her right hand was stuck in the rope, as if she was trying to get the rope untied. I saw this with my own eyes, also Bethanys clothes on the back had dirt on they, we know that her and her boyfriend had been in at least two fights that night but don’t know if the dirt was from that or if she had been drug. Bethany was never one to button her shirt all the way up, leaving the top two or three undone but her shirt was buttoned all the way up, as if someone had dressed her. In the medical examiner report it was noted that there was adema of the labia majora. I did speek to the medical examiner about this and he had no idea how this could of happened, so yes this was something that was brushed under the rug. Before I close I just have a few more things to add. One, we were lead to believe that we had to wait for the sheriff office to finish there investigation before we could have the State Police to get involved ( not true ). When we did go to the State Police, a lot of time had past and the only thing that was done, was the Police report had been read of again. The rope could not be found, there was no finger prints done or DNA checked. I forgot to mention that there was four people to take lie detector test, only one took it. The boyfriend refused, One didn’t show up, and One had left the Country to find work. To this day, I have no idea where the one that left the Country is or the one that just didn’t show up. After reading this, I hope you can understand why we don’t want this out there for others to read, and why we have no reason to believe Bethany done this. Thank you and God bless

      The boyfriend was shawn barnette, he had another girlfriend within a few weeks, the other that didn't show up was cody eads, then we where told that a peters was supose to take one. several weeks later, we asked if he had ever taken the test we was told that he woulden't be given one. He is also the one that had left the country. I understand that you need to check out the storys, i just wish we had people in office that wasn't afraid to do there job and stand up for what is right. I'm sure mason county isn't the only place things like this goes on. It's so sad. It's bad enough that familys have to go through lossing loved ones, but for no justice to be done just tops it off. I also cant stress enough that chose-ing ... our new Sheriff think long and hard! Please! dont vote for who you know .. were beyond that now. we have only 2 choices and that! we all have to live with!     • Judy Rollins Hoschar well Sandy, With the help of my Blogger Friends were doing just that ! this case should have been solved sooner. not later. better yet Never ?? What's the deal here ?? I have my suspicions as to who killed who and why. but who can I trust to tell that too ?? No ONE ! In the beginning I had really strange things happen and kids popping up in my chat .. I followed them. and started printing of as I went. 1. Meth is a factor ... 2. Rene Gongales Is connected with this ! 3. the woods have lots of property right ? who better to arrest than them. the Detroit Boys that moved to Ohio for schooling ... well. one was dating a Gallipolis Ferry Gal at the time. and still is ! I turned what I found as I went over to 2 law officers .. I know now, One was a Dirty Cop. or didnt care. the Other .. He helped lots. but seems they were stopping him in his tracks ! another buy off ! when a few names were mentioned on here in the beginning .. anger flew ! whys that ? found out then. be careful who u confided in ! as I said with the Topix stories momma bear was on here before I could even turn around ! so she has her back covered on things. yet the ones who tell .. Oh .. bread and butter wouldnt melt in there mouth ! SO THEY THINK ! HA! Jealousy also I feel played a huge factor in this. as time went by, I had lots of stories I printed. but DIDNT share ! why should I ? to have the crooks peeps run and tell ?? NOT ! I'm only sharing this because of the Katelyn Markham stories .. and also Missy Rhodes. those girls opened my eyes to lots that was definitely handled all wrong. Thank You Ladies !! read the way Texas Equusearch done with the search for Katelyn. It was terrible !!! and here we were thinking .. great ! their gonna search here .. sent that foundation 500 of my own money in hopes they were coming .. hard to tell what others sent. all in all .. We Got Screwed ! they never returned to find Katelyn .. and when I talked to Tim Miller thats over that .. he tried here. but our St. Police said NO. Whys that ? he actually called the cop he talked to a POS ! and said he was the rudest man he had ever talked too. I'm opening this can of worms for a reason now. so If the people dont like it ! to dam bad ! sry .. No more It Is what It Is .. It's In reality ... Just Begun !!!

You know Judy I was in the sheriff's office shortly after they disappeared and can u believe that a few officers were sitting in their making jokes about this and placing bets among them on their thoughts of where Jeff and Ashley were and what happened to them, LAUGHING ABOUT IT!! Made me sick to think that's who we have to protect us!! This is all really crazy and I feel that the only way Jeff is going to be found is someone outside of Mason Co. Come in and solve this and give the families some justice and finally some answers! My thoughts and prayers to everyone involved!

I was gettin to that. as I asked the other persons who heard them crackin about this .. what's so dam funny ?? Its like they get their Jolly's from this ! I saw one dirty cop smokin crack and heroin .. did a double take on that one ! and what he didn't k was I had my phone so I got a really sweet pic of that ! and what really blew my mind It was it was the same area where all 3 of them were killed and 1 missing. wonder how much they were puttin in there pockets to shut that news flash up ? as long as OUR LAW is in control of this, well hell. were never gonna solve it ! they know there as guilty as the ones who killed those girls ! the cash flow was good at that time. had the detroit boys bringing them the heroin. and the Meth ?? almost all involved were making that crap! maybe that's why the fire .. and Why do they never mention the black truck that was in the driveway that night ?? it did have a tarp threw over the back of it .. so were they in the truck bed then ? this Involves Ohio Kids and Gallipolis Ferry. I do know the St Police were doing all they could do .. but their hands were tied as well . they were being lied to just like the family was. SMH ...I soo wish the St.Police could have had more say in the matter and told the truth from the beginning. maybe we still wouldnt be going around the same dumb mountain !

They worry so much about small time offenders and "druggies" while everyone in this town seems fine with the idea of allowing murders to walk among us! I know when I was in there and I heard them laughing oh man was I ever p'd off I told him that I didn't see a d**n thing funny about it! What if that was one of their family members missing, son, or daughter, I would hate for it to be my Jozlynn, my heart breaks so bad for the mothers! I don't know what can be done but I know something should be, how can law enforcement and citizens of Mason Co. not care and just let something like this be swept under a rug?!? Looks like there would be more then just a handful of people outraged about this! Very sickening!

In the area they had all this happen the Indians were camped there.. no kidding .. most of that area is called Corn Stock. he was the Chief of the tribe in that area .. thats why our St.Police called in the Smithsonian .. bones found in that area could have been from most any thing .. let me finish finding more of the stories that really twists this story ...

      Police are now looking for the husband of one of the women whose bodies were discovered in Mason County on Sunday.

      State Police have identified the bodies as those of 26 year old Ashley Crawford and 27 year old Tonda Nelson. Both are from Southside, West Virginia.

      Police want to talk to Ashley Crawford's husband, Jeff Crawford.

      In what is so far being called a coincidence, the bodies were found on land belonging to the family of murder suspect, Matthew Woods. Woods is one of three people charged with the shooting death of Rene Gonzalez, whose body was found on the porch of his Galliapolis Ferry home earlier this month. So far, police say there is no connection between the two cases.

      MASON COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Gone without a trace -- a man believed to be the victim of foul play is now considered the cause of it.

      Jeffrey Crawford, his wife Ashley and her cousin Tonda, went missing from Mason County in June. Six weeks later, the women were found dead. Now, Jeffrey Crawford is wanted in their murders.

      Police have no evidence that Jeffrey Crawford is even alive. But, they have nothing that shows he's dead either. What they do have is a witness who is very clear about what was seen, making Jeff a wanted man in more ways than one.

      “Yesterday, December 6, we obtained arrest warrants for Jeff Crawford for the murders of Tonda Nelson and Ashley Crawford,” West Virginia State Police Trooper S.C. Allen said.

      That news came six months after the three first disappeared. They were last seen at Jeff and Ashley's home on Jeffer's Ridge in Mason County. But, all police found was the charred remains of their trailer -- the apparent result of arson.

      Clues were scarce, and we spoke to Jeff Crawford's mother back then. She was certain something terrible had happened to her son.

      “He would have called me," Shela Crawford said. "He tells everyone I'm his best friend. He would have called me.”

      Then, six weeks later, Ashley and Tonda's bodies were discovered in a shallow grave not far from the Crawfords' home. But, Jeff was still missing. Now police say an eyewitness places Jeff at the scene of the crime -- not as a victim.

      “They witnessed Jeff Crawford and a person or persons murder Ashley and Tonda,” Allen said.

      Now, police are aggressively searching for Jeff, but so is Jeff's family. We caught up with them this weekend at an event to raise money to assist in the search for him. This was before they found out he was wanted for murder.

      “All we want to do is find his body," his brother, Brent Matthews, said. "It's a horrible thing that's happened. I was really close to him, and it's tough.”

      State police say they've received very little help from the public in this case. If you have any information that could lead to Jeff Crawford, you're asked to all the state police Mason County detachment at 304-675-0850.

      We also learned Wednesday that Ashley and Tonda both died from blows to the head, but police refused to comment further from there.

      The family said Saturday during the fundraiser that if Jeff was never found, then the leftover money would go to fund searches for other missing people. Presumably, now that Jeff Crawford is considered a murder suspect, the same would hold true for any funds raised for the search efforts.

I know all to well on crooked cops m jidges i had to proove my x's mom was sleepn with 3 outta 5 judges one knew her they were shocked n asked how i knew cuz the judges pulled n2 a room n asked. N he addmitted n he was a married man!     • Judy Rollins Hoschar W.Va. is now the prime suspect in the murder of his wife and her cousin.

      West Virginia State Police in Mason County have issued an arrest warrant for Jeff Crawford for the murders of Ashley Baird Crawford and Tonda Nelson.

      The three were reported missing after the Crawford's trailer burnt down in Southside, West Virginia in June.

      Six weeks later, Ashley and Tonda's bodies were found off Duncan Creek Road in Mason County. State Police say the women died of wounds to the head, but would not go into further detail about the cause of their deaths.

      Today (Wednesday) WVSP tell WSAZ.com they're operating as if Jeff Crawford is still alive, but have no evidence to directly indicate one way or another.

      They say a witness to the murder came forward in late July and saw Jeff and another person or persons kill the girls.

      WVSP is actively searching for Jeff Crawford. The US Marshals Service has been called in to assist in the search for Crawford.

Well, we have had no reason or leads to give us cause to search for him alive. I wish when all this ends that we would be able to find him alive. I would give ANYTHING to see him again and have him with us. I don't see that happening. We are doing all we can to find Jeff! Some how you just know in your heart, when a loved one is gone. That's what I feel! We have had more reasons to search for him buried than to search for him otherwise. As for that car... Jeff did NOT sale that car to marty! Family had stated that from the beginning! Proof is in the pudding! Marty admitted to LE that he forged that title! As for the nelson's... I have no clue!

    • Jill Matthews Clinton was the one who run to Alabama and was caught there by US Marshals. If jeff was there, they would have caught him too. As for SC... Jeff and Ashley talked about moving there. Then had changed their minds. Jeff wanted to stay here because his grandmother was sick and going for tests and he wanted to see about her first. We have contacted his friends there and family even made a trip there to see for ourselves. NO TRACE of him there either. We have family in NC, GA, FL, that he could have contacted or tried to run to and no one has heard anything. So you see... No contact, no bank usage or anything else to lead us to believe he is running out there somewhere.

Maybe our generation see's things different than they did back then. but still thats no excuse for our town to be in the shape its in. Our Law plain and simple let us down ! all these cases should have been Investigated to the max ! not a judgement call of what they thought .. good lord, it cant be that bad being a cop ! and how hard can it be if in doubt . ask ?? we feel the same way about this place. moving was our top priority at one point and time. still is as far as were concerned. but what really strikes me odd is, when I said closing this site down for the third time wasnt an option ?? well Gods takin over. and were gettin answers. so lets just keep on.. keeping on !
