‎10/30/2012: #Missing Mother: IDAHO: The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office is inv
estigating an incident where two young children were found alongside Interstate 90 Tuesday, 10/30/2012. A construction supervisor at the I-90 interchange project at Mile Post 1, found two boys, age 3 and 6, sitting in the grass near the construction area around 9:10 a.m.

The boys told deputies that their mother had run out of gas and gone for help. The boys also told deputies that their mother had walked them to the location while it was still dark and raining.

The mother, Shannon Marie Germanton, AKA, Shannon Marie Duval, 27, of Spokane Valley, WA, ha not been located as of 2 p.m. Tuesday.

Investigators learned that she was given a ride by a Jacklin Seed employee to the Exxon Station at Pleasant View Road and Riverbend Drive between 6:30 and 7:30 Tuesday morning. She told the employee that she had been in an argument with her boyfriend and just needed to get to a phone to call for a ride.

After being cleared by emergency medical providers, the children have been placed in foster care with the Department of Health and Welfare Child Protective Services.

If anyone knows the location of Shannon Germanton, AKA Duval, or has seen her since early this morning, they are asked to call the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office at (208) 446-1300.
