Parents report missing 16-year-old girl

Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office is requesting information from the public for the whereabouts of two Madisonville teens.

Authorities say the parents of Bethany Sellers, 2011 Curling Drive, Madisonville, reported their daughter left home Thursday night.

The missing juvenile’s information was sent out Friday to authorities nationwide, according to the sheriff’s office.

Authorities believe Sellers, 16, left with her boyfriend, Christopher M. Johnston, 18, of Madisonville.

Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 821-5661.

MISSING: FBI now involved - Taylor Robinson (19 yrs.) of Akron Ohio has been missing since Friday, May 3rd 2013. She was last seen being dropped off at a home on the 700 block of Kipling Avenue where she worked as an overnight home health aide. Taylor Robinson's mother went to pick up her daughter Saturday morning, but Taylor was not there. Only Taylor's shoes and coat were found at the home. Calls and text messages to Taylor Robinson's phone have not been returned, and there hasn't been any activity on Taylor Robinson bank account. Taylor Robinson is described as a Black female, 5' 3" in height, weighs 150 lbs., with brown eyes and black hair. Police need your help to locate missing person - Crystal Gregory, who was last seen at 10pm on Sunday leaving the Women's and Children's Hospital at North Adelaide. Crystal last had contact with her family at about 11.30pm that same night. At that time she informed her family that she was possibly in Stepney but then stated she was at Gepps Cross near Hungry Jacks. Crystal is described as being Caucasian, 25 years, about 150cm tall, 45kg, slim build with shoulder length straight brown hair with an orange dye through it. She was last seen wearing a grey hooded jacket and dark blue puma tracksuit pants. 05/13/13:Peterborough County OPP officers and members of their Emergency Response Team are asking for the public's help in finding a Missing Person from the Hilliard Street area in Selwyn.

58-year-old Lorraine Roach was last seen when she left her home at about 1:30 Saturday morning.

She is described as 5 foot 4, with dark hair, and brown eyes. Roach was last seen wearing a ¾ length pleated coat and a pink sweater. Her vehicle, a Pontiac Montana van, has been found by the police.

Investigators are asking for our help on this one; if you know where Lorraine is or have seen her you are asked to call the Peterborough County OPP (705) 742-0401 or 1-888-310-1122.

Altoona man charged in daughter-in-law's 1999 death
Investigators confirm they've found skeletal remains

HUNTINGDON COUNTY, Pa. —

Two days after officials found skeletal remains of an Altoona woman who disappeared in 1999, Pennsylvania State Police charged her former father-in-law with criminal homicide in her death.

Huntingdon County District Attorney George Zanic held a press conference at the Huntingdon County Courthouse to "address significant events relating to the 1999 disappearance of Sherry Leighty."

Online court documents list an active charge of one count of criminal homicide against Kenneth W. Leighty, of Altoona. Leighty waived his preliminary hearing and a pretrial conference has been scheduled for September. He remains jailed without bail.

The 65-year-old man has been in jail since April on charges of attacking an officer when police tried to speak with him about the case.

Leighty owns land where crews had searched for Sherry Jean Leighty's remains since April 20. A search warrant shows investigators believe Leighty killed the woman and buried her there and Zanic confirmed some human remains and clothing were found there earlier this month.

Zanic said search teams found Sherry Leighty’s remains on Saturday, under or near a fence post at the family’s camp in Warriors Mark Township. Officials said that location is consistent with a confession Kenneth Leighty made to his son during a recorded phone interview.

Authorities have previously said Leighty was the last person to see his daughter-in-law alive when he drove her to work in Oct. 1, 1999.

Kenneth Leighty previously told police he dropped Sherry off at work the morning she disappeared and later went to work. A month later on Nov. 3, 1999, Sherry's father went to Altoona police and reported his daughter missing. He said his daughter may have gone to Maine, but said he's worried she hadn't been in touch with her three children.

The investigation went cold until August 2012, when a new detective took over the case. Cpl. Matthew Starr interviewed Sherry's siblings, who said that Kenneth Leighty had been caught groping Sherry in her sleep and peeping into her windows before she disappeared.

On Oct. 4, 2012, police interviewed Aaron Leighty, Sherry's ex-husband, and he admitted Sherry had a protection from abuse order against him when she disappeared but said he didn't know where she was.

A few days later, police interviewed Kenneth Leighty, who again said he dropped Sherry off at work the morning of her disappearance and added that he was driving a pickup truck.

On Oct. 25, police interviewed Sherry and Aaron's oldest son, who was just a child when his mother disappeared. He told police he heard that his mother is buried under an old outhouse on the 150-acre property in Huntingdon County belonging to his grandfather, Kenneth Leighty.

In April, Aaron Leighty allowed police to wiretap a conversation between him and his father. According to court documents, Kenneth admitted that he "did it" and that it was an accident. Kenneth went on to say he buried Sherry on his property under a fence.

Later that day, police went to Kenneth Leighty's house to ask him a few questions. When they tried to detain him for more questioning, police said he tried to run off, kicking and punching officers. He was arrested and jailed on charges of assaulting a police officer.

The next day, police served a search warrant for the Huntingdon County property, and on the land they found the same pickup truck that police believe Kenneth was driving the morning Sherry disappeared.

The family suspects the teen left the school to meet a man she had been talking to online.

“We strongly believe that she was lured away by an older male, who does not have her best interest at heart. And that she is in imminent danger,”

She is considered to be at-risk due to some mental health deficiencies and the fact that she may be in the company of people who could endanger her welfare, according to the sheriff's department.

Clarke is described as a white female juvenile, 5’4” tall and 195 pounds. She has brown hair and blue eyes. Clothing Description: Sheer black blouse, charcoal gray leggings with silver buttons above each ankle, brown toms shoes. She goes by the nickname “Dasha” .

RCMP SEEK HELP IN FINDING ELDERLY COUPLE

Valleyview RCMP are asking for the public assistance in locating 84-year-old Neil Holmes and his 80-year-old wife Pearl Holmes.

The Holmes were last seen at their residence at 4901-48 Street in Valleyview on May 12, 2013 at approximately 4:30 P.M. by family members.

Neil suffers from dementia and has gotten lost - turned around in the past while driving.

The Holmes 2011 Dodge Caravan Grey in Color Alberta Licence Plate TCT 842 is also missing.

Valleyview RCMP are asking for the public's assistance in locating the Holmes as soon as possible.

Rural residents are asked to check all back roads, field entrances, vacant farm sites and other locations the Holmes may have gone down and become stuck or disoriented.

Foul play is not suspected at this time however police are treating this as an emergency due to the Holmes poor health.
