Chief Williams says the center brought in special dogs to be able to search for remains, as well as a special response team from Johnston County to map the area.
Crews will be back out tomorrow and plan to drain a small pond on Salvia Lane which is off of Cemetery Road.
Reynolds, who was 18-years-old when she disappeared in February 2010, was last seen at the library in Scotland Neck, and police say she later logged onto her Facebook account at the home of a registered sex offender on Cemetery Road. Police seized a computer from that individuals home, but have never charged the man in connection with the girl's disappearance.
