Polk County authorities are conducting a search for a man, reported missing last Sunday.
47-year-old Lonnie Matheson of Clay County, North Carolina is a white male, 5 feet, 10 inches tall, with blue eyes and red hair. No clothing description was given.
A Polk County dispatcher says Matheson's family made cellphone contact with him on Friday, but no location was given.

Pittsylvania County Sheriff's Office needs your help looking for a man they say is missing.
Cory Anderson was reported missing Thursday. Officials say he is a black man about 5'6" tall, 185 pounds with brown eyes and black hair. He has a tattoo on his neck that says "Cory."
Officials say Anderson may be driving a 2005 Pontiac Grand AM with a VA license plate XCV-8131.
