      • Anna May Darst Perry I lived next door to her when she disappeared--think it was 1970-maybe 1971. If I remember right she lived with the Pierce boy. Even her purse was still in house.

      • Judy Rae McCoy- McGowan Yes My Uncle Was At Work When It Took Place. But In Was Warm Out & It Was In 78 Because I Was Around 2yrs Old When It Happened. Since You Lived Next Door, My Husbands Parents Lived Either Up Or Down From Them. Their Names Was Andy & Dee McGowan, My Husband Was Around 7 or 8 When It Happened He Was Born In December Of 70 & I Was Born In June Of 76.

      • Judy Rae McCoy- McGowan I dont know that was the 1st time i heard that & this 1, but when she came up missing she lived on the street where deals funeral home is & my grandma lived where the dmv is. but there has always been all kinds of rumors over the years. that henry said he picked her up on main street & then he headed to huntington with her an put her remains down that way. but with what im reading about him & what he done to ppl i say no 1 will never know where she is

I'm hoping to find a page that has a more like.. the time it happened and was published page. If ur not to busy.. keep typing her name in, and checking all the Obits. If I Knew How 2 Look Stuff Up Like Ya Do I Could Help Ya, There Is Alot Of Rumors That Has Been Said Over The Years As Ya Know.       • Judy Rollins Hoschar so I take it they never found her body then ?? right ? then let the hear say rip !! I was around at that time, and remember Sheila well. and her brothers.. we all pretty much ran the same circles, as in ppl and places. like I said before! the bottoms across from the old AEP bldg, there were trailers that at one time.. and 1 rumor was she was buried next to the hill toward the now, dmv. and If I could pick my brain.. I also remember some thugs in our town giving sheila a hard time. she was pretty u know. that's the other rumor I heard about her being under a porch/basement on ohio street. I dont buy Henry lee's story at all !!! that was one of our boys back then! bet a hundred I ain't got on that !!

      • Judy Rae McCoy- McGowan No they haven't found anything, not even a clue thats why i said the only thang that as family that we can go by is what that killer said & its true its like she just disappeared in then air. i have a uncle named henry lee pierce is that the guy ya was talkin about being 1 of ya'lls boys or the killer? i was only around 2yrs old when this happened, so i dont remember her or what she looked like but i have seen a picture of her. if she was in 1 of them places then when they tore down that house on ohio st.

      • Judy Rae McCoy- McGowan or tore them houses down where the dmv is wouldnt they have found bones or something, im askin because i dont really know how they go about taken houses down. but if she was in 1 of them places then she is either in front or in back of where they lived at that time. but with what ya said this town was like back then they didnt care, because at 1 point the police said it looks like she just took off & left her belongings behind an left this town an didnt want to be found. so that is another thang the

      • Judy Rae McCoy- McGowan family was told by the police. so at 1 point in that time they looked for her & waited by the phone because the police also said she was of age an if she left there was nothing they could do. so your guess is as gud as the families, it would be nice to know what happened so it could put peace of mind to alot of people. but as of rite now only god knows what happened, because alot of people has passed away to ask them anything of what they remember.

      • Judy Rollins Hoschar well .. ur uncle wasnt the good old boys I was talkin about. and your on the wrong street. its the one chuckie leonard, jan and ronnie blanchard lived on .. im thinkin thats ohio street. and all those houses are still standing.. henry wouldnt have done that to her .. he's related to me. his brother used to be my uncle. no ,, those good ol boys were young and dumb! clara bell, drank as well as the rest of us did back then. let me talk to some of my friends who knew sheila also. maybe next time! we'll have some names ..and ya, she was called of age! pff!! no law back then! i wanna see what the library has in old newspapers from back then. that way we know the sheriff to what ever!! thats been bugging me since we started this. why not the newspapers ?? that should start it all !!!!

      • Judy Rae McCoy- McGowan yeah i know my uncles didnt do it, i just didnt know who ya was talkin about. but the henry that was your uncle was my great uncle but my uncle that was married to sheila "witch is my moms brother" also has a brother named henry lee pierce he was named after him but he left here at 17. my husband knows them people becuz thats where he grew up, is on ohio st. he said that they lived on the middle block of ohio st. im just tellin ya what i know so that maybe something can be put together someday maybe.
