"Hate" is a one-dimensional emotion, and can only exist if it's subject is viewed from one angle, as a concept. Compassion requires 3-D viewing. "Hate" is the generic dirty sheet we throw over a person, place, or issue, soiled by wrestling with our own issues, relegating whatever is beneath to become the same faceless yet recognizable target, again and again. As an emotion, "hate" must chase ghosts to survive.
