Location Last Seen: At the Wawa on Crain Highway. Her vehicle is a white 4-door 2005 Hyundai with Virginia plates: VAC8660.
Circumstances of Disappearance: According to Galloway’s mother, Valarie Bowden, of Fredericksburg, Va., the last time she heard from her daughter was on the afternoon of Saturday, Sept. 20th, after she had been away from home for a couple of days. Bowden said her daughter told another relative Thursday evening that she would be home Friday after spending the night out with friends.
Friday came and went and Galloway didn’t show up to pick up a relative.
The family had tried earlier and unsuccessfully to file a missing persons report, but were told they had to file in the proper jurisdiction. Bowden says she was recovering from a recent hospitalization and illness and her children didn’t want to worry her.
And then came the call Saturday from a blocked number.
“She didn’t sound like herself. She’s normally chipper and outgoing, but she sounded sluggish and scared,” Bowden told NewsOne in an interview. “She said she would be home the next day, but it didn’t sound like how she normally sounds. It sounded like someone was telling her what to say.”
When it became clear that her daughter wasn’t coming home, Bowden began going through her cell phone calls and texts since they share a phone plan. She called some of the last numbers listed and found a man who says he last saw Galloway at the Wawa on Thursday, Sept. 18th.
The man claims he had given Galloway money for gas but that he left when he noticed two men approach Galloway whom appeared to know her.
“He thought they were friends of hers so he says he just left,” said Bowden who says she doesn’t know why her daughter, who worked for a contractor in Fairfax, Va., was in Upper Marlboro.
Bowden says her daughter normally calls if she’s going to stay out overnight with friends and she certainly wouldn’t leave her 4-year-old daughter behind whom she doted on. Her boyfriend is also baffled by her disappearance.
“She would have called and said, ‘I’m not coming home. Here’s the number where I’m at.’ She didn’t do any of that,” said Bowden. “She was very responsible with her daughter.”
Galloway was missing at the family’s weekly Sunday dinner gathering. “The heartbreak her family is feeling is insurmountable. I can’t take pleasure in anything in my life. Every bite of food, every drink of water, I’m thinking, Does she have these things,” said Bowden.
But she is trying to stay strong for her 4-year-old granddaughter who keeps asking when her mother will return. So far, the family has just told the girl that her mother is out and will be back the next day. But they know that can only work for so long.
“Every night she’s asking for her mother. Now, she’s started singing songs about her mother. She knows something is wrong,” said Bowden.
Bowden says her daughter, the youngest of three girls, grew up as a military brat and may be used to the more insular atmosphere on military bases.
“Sometimes she can be too trusting of others. The world is not like the closed environment on a military base. My fear is she may have trusted the wrong individuals,” Bowden said.
Bowden is doing all she can to help find her daughter. The family recently went to Upper Marlboro to post missing persons fliers and talk to people in the area for clues. Bowden has also turned the cell phone records and other information over to Prince George’s County Police who are investigating the case.
So far, there aren’t many leads. There’s been no activity on Galloway’s bank card or social media accounts. Her phone now just goes to voice mail.
“With each hour she is missing my fears increase for her safety. I feel helpless and powerless,” said Bowden. “If anyone has her, please let her come home. She is a good girl with a family that loves her. If they have any compassion in their heart, they will let her come home and be a Mother to her daughter.”
Last Seen Wearing: Unknown.
Identifying Marks or Characteristics: Tattoos: “Kenny” on wrist; “Princess” lower back.

Mom of student who vanished in ’09 says justice won’t bring her back but could save someone else A phone call from the Virginia State police to the mother of 20-year-old murder victim Morgan Harrington provided a break she'd long been waiting for -- a forensic clue had linked her daughter to the suspect in the disappearance of another college student, Hannah Graham.
Mom of student who vanished in ’09 says justice won’t bring her back but could save someone else
A phone call from the Virginia State police to the mother of 20-year-old murder victim Morgan Harrington provided a break she'd long been waiting for -- a forensic clue had linked her daughter to the suspect in the disappearance of another college student, Hannah Graham.
A phone call from the Virginia State police to the mother of 20-year-old murder victim Morgan Harrington provided a break she'd long been waiting for -- a forensic clue had linked her daughter to the suspect in the disappearance of another college student, Hannah Graham.
While Gil Harrington said the lead won't bring back Morgan, it might result in the arrest and conviction of her killer and "prevent another young, vibrant girl from being taken."
"That would give me a lot of satisfaction," Harrington told FoxNews.com Tuesday. "An arrest and conviction in Morgan’s case doesn’t change a huge amount of things for us. Morgan’s still dead. The bedroom is still empty. We’re not having grand kids. But it will save the next girl."Virginia Tech student Morgan Harrington disappeared on Oct. 17, 2009, while attending a much-anticipated Metallica concert with friends on the University of Virginia's campus in Charlottesville. Her skeletal remains were found three months later on a farm a short distance away in a case that has garnered few promising leads -- until now.
Virginia authorities said Monday that forensic evidence linked Morgan to 32-year-old Jesse L Matthew Jr., the prime suspect in the disappearance of University of Virginia student Hannah Graham, who was last seen on Sept. 13 after leaving a party in Charlottesville. Investigators had previously said DNA from Harrington's attacker matched a perpetrator in an unsolved 2005 sexual assault in Fairfax.
The Virginia State Police -- described by Harrington as "notoriously close-mouthed" -- did not elaborate on the evidence when they called her Monday, she said.
Matthew was apprehended in Texas last week and charged with abduction with intent to defile in the case of 18-year-old Graham. The college freshman from Alexandria, Va., has not yet been found, despite expensive ground searches and the assistance of the FBI.
Gil Harrington said her family has "ridden a roller coaster" over the past five years, as their hopes are raised every time unrelated arrests are reported or possible new clues gathered. She said when she first learned of Matthew, while helping in the search for Hannah, "the question did rise in me" as to whether he might be responsible for her daughter's murder.
The similarities between the two women's disappearances are striking. Harrington, from Roanoke, was last seen by her friends as she was leaving UVA's John Paul Jones Arena in search of a restroom. When friends later called her cell phone, Harrington said she'd been locked out of the arena and would find a ride home. Witnesses later reported seeing a woman matching Harrington's description walking along a bridge not far from the arena.
Harrington's remains were found Jan. 26, 2010 at Anchorage Farm in Albemarle County, 10 miles outside of Charlottesville. While police released few details about Harrington's death, her family said in 2010 her murder had been violent, with several bones broken. She had also been raped, they said.
Graham also disappeared after becoming separated from her friends. Surveillence video showed Graham as she walked or ran alone past a bar and a service station, then onto Charlottesville's Downtown Mall. She sent friends a string of text messages, saying she was lost after leaving an off-campus party, according to police. Witnesses later told detectives she was seen with Matthew at a bar.
Matthew, a hospital worker, had a taxi license at the time Harrington disappeared, according to the Associated Press. He is being held without bond at the Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail and is expected to appear via a video link for a bond hearing Thursday in Charlottesville General District Court.
Harrington and Graham are among a handful of young women who have vanished in central Virginia over the last five years -- cases Gil Harrington believes are connected.
Samantha Anne Clarke, 19, was last seen in Orange, Va., shortly after midnight on Sept. 13, 2010. Dashad Laquinn Smith, who was also 19 and transgender, disappeared in Charlottesville in November 2012.
"Either that scatter pattern is attributable to a startling crime wave or attributable to the same person or persons, as I believe it is," she told FoxNews.com.
The Harrington family is offering a $100,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for their daughter's murder. The band Metallica is offering an additional $50,000, bringing the reward to $150,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible.
In the Graham case, meanwhile, authorities are offering a $100,000 reward for information leading to her safe return.
Harrington, an education major and a gifted artist, was "bright, shiny and smart," her mother told FoxNews.com. "She was beautiful on the inside and out -- full of potential."
"At least I know where Morgan is," she said. "The Graham family doesn't have their daughter. We desperately need to find Hannah."

Kidnapped girl Sabrina Allen, missing for 12 years, rescued in Mexico AUSTIN, Texas — Sabrina Allen, a Texas girl allegedly kidnapped by her noncustodial mother 12 years ago, was recovered safely Tuesday in Mexico, and her mother was arrested there, said Dan Powers, San Antonio FBI assistant special agent in charge.
Kidnapped girl Sabrina Allen, missing for 12 years, rescued in Mexico
AUSTIN, Texas — Sabrina Allen, a Texas girl allegedly kidnapped by her noncustodial mother 12 years ago, was recovered safely Tuesday in Mexico, and her mother was arrested there, said Dan Powers, San Antonio FBI assistant special agent in charge.
The mother, Dara Marie Llorens, has been deported to Travis County, Texas, where she will face charges, and Sabrina will be reunited with her father, Powers said.
The girl is now 17, and her mother, 44, the FBI said.
Sabrina Allen is currently in the care of a clinical psychologist, said her father, Greg Allen.
Greg Allen, who remarried 10 years ago and has a new family, has yet to see his daughter, who is suffering from emotional trauma, he said.
“I haven’t gotten to see her yet,” Greg Allen told reporters on Wednesday. “She’s in pretty bad shape, from my understanding,” he said, becoming tearful.
“She’s been told I’m a bad guy, that I’m a wife beater” and other accusations that are also false, he said. “She’s just not ready to see me and my family. I hope and pray that’s coming soon, and I can’t predict it.”
He described the 12-year search for his daughter as a roller coaster that involved false leads and unsuccessful tips over the years.
“I was Ahab and the white whale. I was not going to survive,” Greg Allen said. “It’s a long road. You don’t know what the outcome is.”
How the disappearance occurred
Llorens allegedly violated a court-ordered child custody agreement and disappeared with her Austin daughter shortly after taking her on April 19, 2002, during a scheduled weekend visit, the FBI said in its wanted bulletin for Llorens.
She failed to return her daughter to her father, the primary guardian, during a scheduled pickup two days later, the FBI said.
Later that month, a Texas warrant was issued for Llorens, accusing her of interference with child custody, and then a federal warrant was issued in May 2002, charging Llorens with unlawful flight.
The mother and daughter were found in Mexico City in June 2003 under the fake names of Blanca Aurora Fabian Uribe and Adriana Fabian Uribe, but they eluded authorities, according to the website the girl’s father created to seek public help in finding Sabrina.
The girl’s hair was cut, and her hair color was changed several times during her disappearance, the website said.

I ask that you please share Paul's story. Will you please share? One tip...that's all it takes. Thank You!
Paul Love disappeared from the University of Illinois Galesburg branch on October 2, 1947. Paul Love of Hinsdale registered at the U of I branch campus on the grounds of the former Mayo Hospital in Galesburg following his release from the Army during World War II. He was last seen in downtown Galesburg where he attempted to cash a check at a music store for the purchase of a record. The request to cash the check was declined and Love said he would be back later.
The state police mobile laboratory carrying grappling and diving equipment was brought in to help search both Lake Storey and Lake Bracken. When the search of the countryside failed to produce any results, local, state and federal authorities continued the search with no results.
Six years after the disappearance of Paul Love, human bones were discovered on a farm three miles east of Wataga. Naturally speculation was that the remains might be those of the missing student. Another report linking the bones to the missing student was the examination of a .22-caliber Marlin rifle that was discovered near the scene of the bones. Finally in early March 1953 it was concluded the remains were not those of Love. The conclusion was arrived at by comparison of dental records.
