WEST VIRGINIA: WANTED FOR MURDERING A ENTIRE FAMILY: Missing Family Found Dead

A family of four reported missing last weekend is found dead. The West Virginia State Police say they are searching for the suspect.

West Virginia State Police announced on Saturday that they had discovered four bodies in a wooded area believed to be those of a missing man, his girlfriend and his two young children. Police said the bodies were found about a mile from where Steven Hendrix’s missing 2003 Chevy Venture van was discovered on Friday night near Carl, in Nicholas County.

Mr Hendrix, 38, his 23-year-old girlfriend Amber Martin, and his two young children, six-year-old Dakota and four-year-old Kaylee, had vanished on May 19.

Michael Baylous, of the West Virginia State Police, would not comment on the nature of the killing, but said that troopers with children of their own were disturbed by the scene.

Following the discovery, police have launched a manhunt for 27-year-old James Roy Belknap, of Leivasy, Nicholas County, who has been identified as a suspect. He was last seen driving a white Ford F-150 or a Chevrolet Monte Carlo.

Belknap is considered armed and dangerous. It remains unknown what, if any, connection he had to the victims.

Mr Hendrix's older daughter, Cheyenne Hendrix, had reported the family missing on May 21 when she was unable to reach her father.

The 38-year-old was indicted earlier this year on three felony charges for allegedly delivering oxycodone.
According to Greenbrier County Prosecuting Attorney Patrick Via, Ms Martin also failed to appear for an unrelated court appearance scheduled for Monday in magistrate court.

Police had initially believed that Hendrix was avoiding prosecution, but his niece claimed otherwise.

‘He left his coffee pot on, he left lights on,’ Vanessa Ramirez told WVNSTV. ‘His girlfriend's purse is still in the home. He didn't lock the doors and no one has been able to get a hold of him. He took nothing with him.’

Jessica Canelos was spotted May 20, 2012 along with a male, Christopher Eugene Johnson, of NC coming BACK into the USA out of Mexico. Authorities do not believe the child, Aidan Canelos, was with them. There has been no cell activity, no contact with her husband or her family which is extremely unusual. While they are not ruling foul play, the authorities are extremely concerned. Jessica and Aidan were filed as missing when she told her husband she was going to Raleigh, NC to visit her father and never arrived on May 18, 2012.

NY: UNIDENTIFIED BLACK MALE HIT BY CAR IN HOSPITAL - Who is he?

Suffolk police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man seriously injured in a Wyandanch crash Thursday evening.

Around 11:20 p.m., Steven Albert, 84, was driving his 1993 Ford Taurus westbound on Acorn Street when he struck a pedestrian crossing the street, police say.

The pedestrian, who has not been identified, is described as a Black male, approximately 50 years old. He was wearing a multi-colored COOGI-brand sweatshirt, tan baseball cap, brown snakeskin-style shoes and a gold ring with a red stone on his right hand. The victim was transported to Good Samaritan Medical Center in West Islip by Wyandanch Rescue. He is listed in serious condition.

Albert, of Wheatley Heights, was the only occupant of the car. He was not injured.

The Taurus was impounded for a safety check and the investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone who may have witnessed this crash to call the First Squad at 631-854-8152.
