$15,000 REWARD! Suspect Sketch Released of Van Driver in JESSICA HEERINGA ABDUCTION: JESSICA HEERINGA, 25, was KIDNAPPED from the NORTON SHORES, MICHIGAN Exxon Mobil gas station at 1196 E. Sternberg Rd. at approx. 10:50 p.m. on 4/26/2013 while working ALONE with NO SECURITY CAMERAS!

Heeringa was supposed to be working but not able to be located after police were called to the gas station at about 11:15 p.m. Friday. Customers had called 911 after entering the store and finding no employees present.

The driver is described as a white male, approximately 30 to 40 years old, 6’ tall, medium to heavy build with broad shoulders, light brown or sandy blonde wavy hair parted in the middle and slightly longer on top. He was last seen wearing a bright red or orange sweatshirt.

Heeringa is described as a white female, 5’1” tall, about 110 pounds, with blond, shoulder-length hair, blue eyes and also known to wear wired rim glasses. She may be wearing a blue collared shirt with “Sternberg Exxon” on it.

UNIDENTIFIED VICTIM LOCATED IN NEW YORK

Unidentified Remains
Date Located: October 29, 1983
City Found: Medina, New York
County Found: Orleans County
Estimated Date of Death: 1980-1981

Cause of Death: Not Disclosed.

The partially mummified, partially skeletonized remains of this woman were found off of South Gravel Road (Route 63) in the town of Shelby (part of Medina, NY) on October 29, 1983 near the Gennessee County line.

The spot that her remains were recovered is part of the Iroquois National Wildlife Refuge, a 4,000 acre wetland that is offten refered to as the "Alabama Swamps" by locals. During the spring months, much of the area is submerged in water due to the spring thaw; during the fall months, the area is popular with local hunters. It also features several trails, elevated trails for the wet months and overlooks that were popular spots for both nature lovers and local youth.

The area is somewhat isolated. Route 63 serves as a main route to get to the Lake Ontario shore from the New York State Thruway. It is also frequently used as a truck route by tractor trailers. At night though, the road can become very deserted and there are no homes or buildings located on the road for several miles in either direction. Also of note, passing motorists would not consider it out of the ordinary to see a car pulled off the side of the road because hunters, hikers, fishermen/woman would frequently park on the road shoulder to enter the wildlife refuge.

There is however the Iroquois Job Corps., a residential career training and education facility for young people between the ages of 16 and 24 located about 2 miles away.

Friday July 19 will be 7 years since my niece Melanie Metheny was last seen or heard from. Melanie was a mother of 3 young children who were her whole world when she disappeared. We once found an article she wrote for a class that she was taking about how much her children meant to her when we were going through her belongings. Melanie was a mother first and foremost she was also a daughter a sister a niece a granddaughter a cousin and also a friend. These last 7 years that she has been missing have been some of the hardest years her family has had to endure EVER. The not knowing the unanswered questions the horror stories and the large hole that this has left in all of our lives and hearts is absolutely painful beyond words.
When a loved one goes missing the family that is here searching hoping praying it feels like you are on a roller coaster ride from hell that is never ending. We still do not know what happened to Melanie that dreadful day 7 years ago after endless hours of searching hoping looking fighting crying and praying but we will never ever stop until we have answers. we will continue to try to find answers until we have no breath left in our bodies. Melanie you are missed and loved so much. There wil forever be a large hole in our family that can never be replaced

SALT LAKE CITY — Police asked the public for help Thursday in locating a missing disabled teenager.
According to a press release, officers are searching for 16-year-old Mharina Acciaio. They said the teen was dropped off at City Creek Center at 11 a.m. Tuesday, and hasn’t returned home since.
Police say a worker with the Utah Division of Child and Family Services dropped Mharina off at the shopping center to go to the Apple store.
“She’s got her iPod and goes to the Apple store to figure out what’s wrong with it and they help her,” Thomas Acciaio said.
Police said Acciaio has several health conditions, and requires medication. Without her medication, she is prone to impulsive and risky behavior.
“She’s low-functioning when she’s not on her meds. If she’s on her meds, she’s a normal 16-year-old,” said Thomas Acciaio, Mharina.
Acciaio is described as 5 feet 2 inches tall, with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black tank top, black sweat pants and pink flip-flops.
Officers said Acciaio is known to spend time in downtown Salt Lake City malls and libraries. If you have any information on the teen, call Salt Lake City police at (801) 799-3000.
