12-year-old girl Daytona Beach found safe
A 12-year-old girl who was reported missing after she never returned home Tuesday from Campbell Middle School in Volusia County has been found, police said.
Shannon McCaffrey was found at about 7 p.m. Wednesday at apartments on Northern Road in South Daytona. No details were released about her recovery. "She's OK," police said in a statement.

Prayers for the family and friends of Raymond Cochran. This is very sad. 71 is young.
The Jefferson County Coroner's Office identified the remains as 71-year-old Raymond Cochran, the father of a veteran Birmingham police officer. Cochran, who suffered from dementia, was reported missing June 17, 2010. He walked away from the 1600 block of 19th Street in Ensley. Coroner's officials said they were able to identify Cochran through a variety of medical records, including an MRI that showed a rare split in Cochran's skull
